NOT IF DLRM WARNINGS OF THE RISKS HAD BEEN HEEDED BY THE
GOVERNMENT AND BY THE PUBLIC
Since 1995, Doctors and Lawyers for Responsible Medicine
(DLRM) have been campaigning for a ban on the idea of putting
animal cells and tissues into people (xenotransplantation).
The use of animal cells in vaccines, which are then injected
into people - mostly young babies - is a form of xenotransplantation,
with all the risks inherent in such a practice.
ONLY NOW are the public health dangers of xenotransplantation
beginning to be taken seriously by the government and industry
in the UK. What puts the public even more at risk is a lack
of patients' rights and informed consent legislation which,
if it existed, would allow parents to know what 'ingredients'
are contained in each vaccine.
If the public had easy access to this kind of information,
it is very likely that concerned parents would have 'blown
the whistle" on the BSE scare in polio vaccine years
ago, instead of waiting for the authorities to wake up much
later. The components of vaccine additives should be made
freely known to the public.
DLRM intends to pursue this latest BSE scandal, and expose
the irresponsible parties for this gross negligence.
